No. 11 Missouri Travels To Texas To Take On No. 7 Longhorns Saturday

The Missouri Tigers are the 11th-ranked team in the country and they're headed south for one of their biggest matchups of the year. Mizzou will be facing the Texas Longhorns who are ranked seventh in the country, one spot behind the Kansas Jayhawks.

This is an important game for both teams and the rest of the Big 12. Texas sits atop the Big 12 with a 5-0 record followed by Kansas (4-1), Texas A&M( 4-1) and Missouri (3-2). Obviously a Texas loss makes things a little more interesting for a few teams.

Missouri's task is tall as they haven't beaten a top 10 opponent on the road since beating Kansas in 1994 -- almost 17 years!

The good news for Missouri is that they have a recent history of success against Texas. The Tigers have beat the Longhorns three consecutive games against nationally ranked Texas teams. They beat them in Austin, 69-65, three years ago (Zaire Taylor's big shot). They're also both high-scoring teams -- Missouri at 85 points per game and Texas at 77 points per game.

The Pressey family is from Dallas so this will be a homecoming of sorts for Matt and Phil. Mike Anderson's daughter also plays basketball for Texas.
