NFL Playoffs Schedule: Saints-Seahawks, Jets-Colts Kick Things Off

The 2011 NFL playoffs are on schedule and only a few hours away at this point. The Kansas City Chiefs aren't playing until Sunday but we do have two games today and one of those could have an affect on the Chiefs if they win. Both games are on NBC and they start at 3:30 p.m. (CT) meaning you've got a full day ahead of yourself.

New Orleans Saints vs. Seattle Seahawks: The Saints are the defending Super Bowl champs but still have to travel to Seattle to play the 7-9 Seahawks, who won the NFC West and guaranteed themselves a home playoff game. The Saints are massive favorites -- 10-11 points. We haven't seen a road favorite favored that much in three decades. The Saints should roll in this one. This is the playoff game with the least amount of interest. This game is on NBC at 3:30 p.m (CT).

New York Jets vs. Indianapolis Colts: Rex Ryan meets Peyton Manning, again. Manning owns Ryan going 5-1 against Ryan-coached defenses in the last five years. The Colts are slight favorites in this one but it can really go either way. I'm rooting for the Jets here because, if they win and the Chiefs win, that means KC is headed to Pittsburgh in the divisional round and not New England. Plus, with the pain Manning and the Colts have caused us in the playoffs, I think it's about time he takes a home playoff loss. This game is on 7:00 p.m. (CT) on NBC.

Tomorrow's games are much better in my mind with the Ravens and Chiefs kicking off at noon and the Packers and Eagles coming after that.
