The Arizona Fall League is a haven for many top prospects working out their craft in hopes to make an impact for the upcoming season. The Royals hope that Nate Adcock’s performance is indicative of what they can expect from him next season as he won the league’s Pitcher of the Week Award for week two in the AFL.
↵Adcock threw 3 scoreless innings of one hit ball while striking out seven in his debut for Surprise, AZ. That’s a tremendous performance on the mound at any level, so perhaps Adcock has more to him than most would have guessed. The Royals, in any case, certainly have to be pleased by the short-term results.
