Missouri Tigers Basketball Recruit Domonique Bell Has 'Potential To Be A Big Time Scorer'

As the Missouri Tigers look forward to next season, there’s reason to wonder about the drop-off in points when they’ll lose a dynamic player like Kim English to graduation. Luckily, Frank Haith is thinking about such things when he’s recruiting a scorer like Domonique Bell. Bell is the latest signing for Haith’s 2012 recruiting class and ESPN’s scouting has him listed as a potential “big time scorer.”

Their summary of Bell reads, “Bull is an aggressive player who is at his best in a fast paced game where his physical tools and dribble drive game can be most valuable. If he can continue to improve his jumper and make better decisions with the basketball, he has the potential to be a big time scorer.”

The knock against him is that he could be a better rebounder and doesn’t play as well away from the ball as he could. He’s also not consistent enough from downtown, but it’s clear that he’s only a high school student who will certainly continue to develop. To have such raw scoring ability is a major plus for a team that will be new to the SEC.
