The Kansas Jayhawks had this game in the bag, at least that’s how it seemed. But in an offensive display that shows both how powerful the Baylor offense can be as well as how horrible the KU defense can be, Baylor roared back with one long touchdown after another to string together 21 unanswered points. Now the two teams are headed to overtime.
The overtime game is the first in five seasons for the Jayhawks, the last one coming in 2006 against Nebraska. If momentum plays any part in the extra session, then this will be all Baylor because Kansas simply fell apart. Robert Griffin III took over the game offensively and what was once a poor outing for the fringe Heisman candidate is now a decent showing of 21 for 28 for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns to go against 1 interception.
