The Kansas St. Wildcats had to overcome a 31-21 deficit to force overtime against the Texas A&M Aggies. Kansas State got those 10 points in the last five minutes of play by a 53-yard touchdown pass from Collin Klein to Chris Harper and then tied the game on a 44-yard field goal by Anthony Cantele with 2:12 left in the game. Texas A&M had a chance to win the game, but the Kansas State defense forced Texas A&M to punt and force overtime.
In overtime Kansas State almost blew it as Klein fumbled the ball into the endzone, but luckily it was recovered by Tramaine Thompson. Each team exchanged a pair of touchdowns, field goals and each team missed a two-point conversion. It was not until the fourth overtime when the game would be decided as Texas A&M kicked a field goal and Kansas State countered with a 1-yard touchdown run by Klein for the win.
The last drive by Kansas State was not without drama as Kansas State converted a third-down by Klein which was subject to instant replay. On the following first down, the Wildcats went to the air in the endzone but there was a pass interference call which set up a first and goal. Two quarterback sneaks later and Kansas State got the win.
