BCS Standings: Oklahoma Sooners Somehow Lose Ground In Rankings

The Oklahoma Sooners were believed to still be in great position heading toward BCS bowl season since they took their one loss early and could slowly climb back up as others began to lose as the season wore on. Their eventual match-up with Oklahoma State, currently at No. 2, would give them the final opportunity to climb into the top of the rankings once again. Instead, things haven't played out that way as illustrated by the latest BCS Standings.

Now, the Sooners sit below the Alabama Crimson Tide and even the Oregon Ducks sit above OU among one-win teams. Only two undefeateds are left who have a realistic shot at the national title after Stanford and Boise State fell. Yet somehow OU is still at No. 5. It's bad news for Bob Stoops club that they lack the respect of the other teams, but the OSU match-up could change all of that.
