Big 12 Power Rankings: Missouri Tigers Move Up To Sixth Place

The Missouri Tigers have moved up to sixth place on the Big 12 Power Rankings over at ESPN and writer David Ubben says it comes on the heels of the “biggest win of the year” for the team. Gary Pinkel has to be pleased by his team’s defensive performance against the Texas Longhorns in a 17-5 win and now the team will surely be playing in a bowl given that they have two winnable games left against Texas Tech and Kansas.

Ubben writes, “The Tigers got their biggest win of the year with a dominant defensive performance against Texas, holding the Longhorns to their first game without a TD since 2004. Missouri must deal with the loss of Henry Josey, but like he did at the beginning of the season, backups Kendial Lawrence and De’Vion Moore must pick up the slack with one more win needed for bowl eligibility.”
