Jay Cutler Injury Update: Broken Thumb Possible For Bears Quarterback

Jay Glazer has the word regarding an injury for Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Glazer notes via Twitter that, “Bears sources tell me Jay Cutler injured his thumb, undergoing further tests to see if broken. He finished game w it injured.”

Even though he played through it, Cutler has a very solid game in the Bears 31-20 win over the San Diego Chargers. In fact, he outperformed Philip Rivers by going 18 of 31 for 286 yards and 2 touchdowns offset by 1 interception.

If the injury were to turn out for the worst, the Bears back-up quarterbacks include Caleb Hanie as the primary back-up and Nathan Enderle as the third stringer. Cutler has 11 touchdown passes and 6 interceptions on the season.
