BCS Standings: Andrew Luck, Stanford Climb Back Near Top Five

This past weekend, the biggest story in college football was the sheer amount of ranked teams losing unexpectedly -- a story that seriously crippled the title chances of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and seriously hurt the rankings of Oklahoma, Oregon and others. The flip side, however, is that other teams will prosper from the openings the losses create. Case in point: Stanford.

Andrew Luck has kept Stanford competitive all season and it's clear that the best quarterback prospect in the nation is likely to get a primetime BCS bowl to showcase his talents as Stanford moves up to No. 6 in this week's BCS Rankings. Previously they were No. 9, but now they jump Boise State to earn a spot back on the fringe of the top five. That also makes them the highest ranked Pac-12 team in the country.
