The early word from the Boston Herald's Ian Rapoport is that Chad Ochocinco missed today's practice for the New England Patriots. And as of now, Rapoport writes via Twitter that there was no reason given just yet. But it's interesting to note that the relationship between Ochocinco and his new home with the Pats has not gone as planned -- or at least as the player could have certainly expected. After all, the star receiver has caught two passes since October 9.
↵The Pats already jettisoned one high-profile veteran in Albert Haynesworth and some have wondered if Ochocinco might be next. To his credit, Ochocinco has been a model citizen in New England and has yet to create the sort of distraction that some feared he might. There are simply a lot of talented receivers on the Patriots already in tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez and receivers Wes Welker and Deion Branch.
↵It's all conjecture at this point, but it's just interesting to note his absence from practice. For the year, Ochocinco has 11 receptions and 201 yards.
