Wisconsin Vs. Penn State: Scouts For Kansas City Chiefs Among Observers

The high-profile Big Ten game between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Wisconsin Badgers isn’t just big for bowl positioning and the Big Ten standings. The match-up will likely play a part in the pro perceptions come NFL Draft time for several players on the field today. Scouts of the Kansas City Chiefs are among those confirmed at today’s game.

As for players who might intrigue the Chiefs, there are many options to observe among teams like this. However, it’s hard not to think that Chiefs scouts will be excited to watch Devon Still in particular.

The Penn State defensive tackle is a 300-pound cornerstone in the middle who has been a force all year. As a senior, there’s no doubt that he’ll be draft eligible and the Chiefs have passed on defensive tackles early in the draft in recent years despite the need for one. Jerrell Powe was a late round choice last year, but the most successful NFL teams have several options at the position in a 3-4. Veteran nose tackle Kelly Gregg is still capable of playing at a high level, but the Chiefs need to really develop a dynamic starting option there.

Still is a finalist for the Outland Trophy and Bednarik Award while registering 16 tackles for loss this season.
