Matt Leinart Hurt In Texans-Jaguars Game; Rookie T.J. Yates Becomes 8th Rookie QB To See Action This Year

Houston Texans fans have to be worried. With Matt Schaub already down for the year, Matt Leinart has now gone back to the locker room with an apparent injury with just under two minutes to go in the half and the Texans leading 17-10.

Leinart, who hadn't thrown a touchdown pass in the NFL in three years was 10-for-13 for 57 yards in the first half with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Joel Dreessen to put give the Texans a 14-10 lead at the time.

T.J. Yates, a rookie out of North Carolina, was the fifth round pick of the Texans in the 2011 NFL draft. He came on to lead the Texans down the field on a 10-play 40-yard drive that resulted in a 33 yard Neil Rackers field goal right before half as the Texans extended the lead to 20-10 at the break.
