The Kansas City Chiefs have dropped four in a row, so no one should be surprised that the franchise keeps slipping down the NFL Power Rankings week after week. This week, Joel Thorman of SB Nation has the Chiefs at No. 25 and it’s clear that a quarterback change is needed. In fact, it might spark the club as the team nears the last quarter of the season.
"And now the Kyle Orton era might be upon us. Tyler Palko’s first two starts came against the Patriots and Steelers but he may not get another shot," writes Thorman. Palko had six interceptions in his first two games, and the Chiefs were very close to beating the Steelers on Sunday night If the turnovers weren’t there, the Chiefs defense would have likely won the game and sent the Steelers reeling. Instead, the Chiefs are now further back in the AFC West and likely out of contention.
This week the Chiefs travel to Chicago to face the Bears on Sunday afternoon.
