Pro Football Focus released a feature today ranking the top 10 centers in the NFL this season through the midterm and two surprising veterans have made the grade. Jeff Saturday of the struggling Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Casey Wiegmann are both among the top centers in the NFL.
Ben Stockman writes, “Casey Wiegmann (4.9) and Jeff Saturday (6.5) are both rolling back the years on Chiefs and Colts teams headed in opposite direction, both performing particularly well in pass protection where they have yielded four and six total pressures respectively.” Texans’ center Chris Myers tops the list and the Broncos’ J.D. Walton is worst in the league. That’s bad news not only for Tim Tebow but also the Broncos running game that can never seem to get on track.
