Robert Griffin III Named Finalist For Walter Camp Award

The Walter Camp Football Foundation 2011 College Player of the Year has made its announcement of finalists and one from the Big 12 has been placed on the list: Baylor's Robert Griffin III. The talented quarterback has had an incredible season and should be a Heisman finalist, leading the Bears to an 8-3 record with some bigger wins to show for it.

As the press release says, "RG3 is joined by Case Keenum (Houston), Andrew Luck (Stanford), Trent Richardson (Alabama) and Tyrann Mathieu (LSU) as finalists. The 2011 Walter Camp Player of the Year recipient will be selected by Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors, and the winner will be announced during the 6 p.m. EST edition of ESPN SportsCenter on Dec. 8."

The Bears face No. 22 Texas on Saturday for a chance to finish with 9 wins in a season for the first time since 1986. Baylor is relevant again in the national football and they have RGIII to thank for it.
