The Kansas State Wildcats were 7-0 at one point and poised just on the verge of the Top 10 in the national college football rankings. Now they’ve lost two in a row and they stand on the verge of losing any ranking at all. The most recent USA Today/Coaches poll released just this afternoon has the Wildcats currently sitting at No. 22.
Kansas State lost a wild shootout yesterday to the No. 3 team in the country: the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Brandon Weeden proved to be too much for the Wildcats to handle defensively and OSU won after overcoming a deficit with the final score of 52-45. Even still, Bill Snyder’s team proved they can be competitive with any team in the country.
Moving forward, they have Texas A&M, Texas and Iowa State in their last three games as they to improve on their win total and position themselves for a better bowl game.
