Joe Paterno Retiring At End Of 2011 Season From Penn State

In a storied career that’s led him to 37 bowl games and over 500 games coached, Joe Paterno — Joe PA — is reportedly retiring according to an AP report after this season after coaching Penn State’s football program since 1966. The current Penn State scandal surrounding the sexual abuse charges faced by defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky is bleeding over to affect the legacy of anyone involved with PSU, and even the seemingly untouchable legacy of Paterno is as vulnerable as any. Currently, Paterno has a career record of 409-136-3, including an 8-1 mark this season.
