Mike Lombardi of the NFL Network and NFL.com wrote an interesting column today that discusses the lack of options that John Elway and the Denver Broncos front office have at this point -- other than just to sit back and watch Tim Tebow work his magic. After winning so many games at the final buzzer, the team is on a roll straight to the playoffs after tanking early and it's clear there's something in the national water over this quarterback.
Lombardi writes, "Once the game reached overtime, was anyone thinking the Broncos were not going to win? Even after losing the coin toss? Of course not. Six games of Tebow fourth-quarter heroics have made us all believers, including team president John Elway, who mentioned this week they were getting closer to a final decision on Tebow. Really? What decision does Elway really have now? Tebow is beloved in the locker room, his teammates believe in his ability, and he has made the Broncos relevant for the first time in a long time. There is no decision to be made, just continue to let Tebow play and continue to win games. The playoffs await."
The Broncos will be interesting to watch toward the very end, but this week the Patriots await in what will be an epic showdown that everyone will want to watch. The AFC West is suddenly more relevant than ever before and the Broncos are the unlikely contenders coming out of a lackluster group of teams.
