Oklahoma State Predicted To Beat Oklahoma For Big 12 Championship

Stewart Mandel of Sports Illustrated is the latest to weigh in with his predictions for today’s major football games, and he believes the Oklahoma State Cowboys are going to have what it takes to hold off the Oklahoma Sooners and claim their prize of the Big 12 Champions for the 2011-12 season. If so, they will also cement Kansas State in second place and send the Sooners to a rather forgettable season.

Mandel writes, “The Cowboys have been waiting 15 days to erase the taste of that Iowa State loss. The Sooners don’t want to cede state supremacy. Neither team will be able to stop the other (much like in last year’s shootout), which means the biggest question is whether Mike Gundy’s team truly believes it can end its eight-game losing streak to the Sooners. The Cowboys do, and they will.”

Today’s game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. CT and can be seen on ABC.
