For one half, the South Florida Bulls kept their dream alive. Unfortunately, the second half kicked in and, with it, the Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team. The No. 14 ranked Jayhawks completely overwhelmed the Bulls in the second half of today’s contest to walk away with a 70-42 win.
Tyshawn Taylor led all scorers with 24 points, including an impressive 8 of 10 shooting from the floor. He went 4 of 6 from three-point range, but he continued to struggle with turnovers with another 5 in a week that Bill Self called out his guard’s sloppy play. As a team, KU had 14 turnovers.
Thomas Robinson had his consecutive games streak with a double-double stopped at 6, but he did contribute 14 points and 8 rebounds to go with 4 steals and 2 blocks. Connor Teahan had 11 points and 4 assists off the bench for KU. Augustus Gilchrist was the high scorer for the Bulls with 11.
With the win, the Jayhawks move to 5-2 on the season. The Bulls fall to 5-4.
