Ryan O'Holloran over at Comcast Sports Net has his latest round of NFL picks available and he's one of the few who don't have the Chicago Bears at least killing the Kansas City Chiefs. Instead, he believes this battle of back-up quarterbacks will at least end up as a close battle.
He writes, "Wow, what a tough stretch for Tyler Palko – his first three starts for Kansas City are at New England (loss), vs. Pittsburgh (loss) and now at the Bears. KC has gone 27 possessions without a touchdown. Chicago hopes QB Caleb Hanie’s second start is more consistent than his up-and-down debut last week in Oakland. The Bears can’t afford to lose home games because the wild card is their only chance."
Ultimately, O'Holloran's predicts the Bears to beat the Chiefs 20-17. That's at least a bit closer than most sportswriters since the Chiefs have lost four in a row and sit in the AFC West basement.
