Sports Illustrated’s Jon Heyman recently noted that starting pitcher Kevin Millwood remains available in early February and two teams are featured in his rumors column — the Indians and the Royals.
↵Both AL Central rivals could use another veteran arm on the staff and Millwood has played that role several times around the circuit. While his best days are behind him, there’s no telling how other Royals signings (Bruce Chen, Jeff Francis) will hold up, so this could be a good move.
