Ben McLemore, Kansas And Missouri Basketball Recruit, Dismissed From High School Team

It must be suspension Monday around the basketball world. Ben McLemore, a basketball recruit that's narrowed his choices to the Kansas Jayhawks and Missouri Tigers, has been dismissed from Oak Hill Academy, according to a report in the Tuscon Citizen.

We've got no details of what's going on other than that Sidiki Johnson, an Arizona recruit, has also been dismissed. Their high school coach has confirmed the dismissal.

The news is surprising and leaves us with a ton of questions but none more important than what happens to McLemore's eligibility. We have no idea if this affects it in anyway moving forward.

Here's what SB Nation's Big 12 Hoops blog says about McLemore:

McLemore, a 6'5" shooting guard and St. Louis native, is in the middle of a heated recruiting race between theMissouri Tigers and Kansas Jayhawks. The 17th ranked high school senior, according to Rivals.com, is one of the last remaining top recruits yet to commit to a school for next year.

We'll be updating with anymore information on the news.
