Opening Day: Angels Vs. Royals At Kauffman Stadium

Spring is here. Baseball is here. Summer is around the corner.

It's opening day in Major League Baseball.

The Kansas City Royals will be taking on the Los Angeles Angels at Kauffman Stadium this afternoon at 3:10 p.m. The game will be on TV at FOX Sports Kansas City.

Your starting pitcher for the Royals will be Luke Hochevar while Jared Weaver takes the mound for the Angels.

Mike Aviles will be at third base batting first, while Melky Cabrera will bat second and play center field. Alex Gordon is in the third spot in left field while Billy Butler is battling cleanup as the DH. Kila Ka'aihue is on first batting fifth and Jeff Francoeur is in right field batting sixth. Alcides Escobar is at shortstop batting seventh, Matt Treanor is catching and batting eighth while Chris Getz rounds out the batting order and is playing second base.

The Royals starting lineup has four players that are new to the team this year so it's a pretty significant turnover. Of course most are waiting on that minor league system to pop up but until then these are your Royals.

The Royals finished spring training with the Cactus League's best record so we're hoping they can take some of that momentum and apply it to the regular season.
