It's Jacob Pullen's last home game. I can't believe. I remember when he was being recruited, when he came to Kansas State and when he became a basketball star. He blew up quickly in his career, if I recall, and we knew right away he'd be a good player.
We didn't know, though, that he'd go down as one of the best Kansas State basketball players in the history of the program. It's been an incredible ride for him and he'll be playing his last one at Bramlage Coliseum.
Luckily, that game comes against Iowa State. C'mon, you want to win on Senior Day and celebrate your seniors, and Iowa State is a good opponent for that. The Wildcats are 13.5 point favorites and I think that's about right.
SB Nation's Big 12 Hoops blog weighs in with their prediction on the game with the 13.5 point spread:
Jacob Pullen's last home game in his career comes against an Iowa State that is looking to knock off KSU for a second straight year on Senior Day in Manhattan. First off you have to be impressed with the effort that Fred Hoiberg and the Cyclones are showing as they had every reason to pack it in and just try to finish out the year quietly but they have went out and beat NU & CU in their last two games. I think this game may be closer than what some people think, gonna say Iowa State is competitive and hits some 3's and K-State wins but does not cover the spread.
Disagree. I think K-State covers in front of a loud crowd ready to send these guys off to the Big 12 tournament and later the NCAA tournament.
