Missouri Review

Mizzou has had a rough week, being swept by Texas and then falling 7-1 on Wednesday to rival Kansas, a game that was played at Kauffman Stadium. Blake Brown lead off the game against KU with a single, but it accounted for the only Tigers hit of the night.

Missouri is in Stillwater this weekend to take on Oklahoma State, and no doubt will the Tigers be looking to gain some confidence and hopefully some wins.

Kansas Review

While Missouri struggled, Kansas had a good week taking two of three games last weekend from previously ranked Baylor, before dominating Mizzou on Wednesday evening in Kansas City. In between, KU lost 5-1 on Tuesday to Missouri State. Taylor Thomas was great against MU, pitching 6.0 innings and striking our nine while allowing just one hit. In a 6-2 defeat of Baylor last Friday, T.J. Walz threw 7.2 innings, giving up three hits, while striking out 11.

LOOKING AHEAD

KU will be hosting Nebraska this weekend, before heading to Iowa City on Tuesday to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Kansas State Review

The Wildcats had the tough task of facing Texas A&M last week, but there where some positives as Kansas State lost a one run game on Saturday, and defeated the Aggies 9-4 on Sunday. Nick Martini lead K-State with 3 hits and 2 RBI in the victory.

LOOKING AHEAD

Kansas State has a busy week upcoming, with three games this weekend at home against Oklahoma, before playing Creighton and Wichita State early next week.
