Royals Prospect Lorenzo Cain Hits For The Cycle At AAA Omaha

Another piece of the Zack Greinke trade puzzle this past winter was centerfielder Lorenzo Cain. After having started the year at leadoff for the Stormchasers, Cain has really emerged when manager Mike Jirschele moved Cain down to sixth in the Omaha batting order.

The best proof of that came this evening when Cain went 4-for-5 at the plate, hitting for the cycle and totaling 7 RBI. His home run happened to be a grand slam as Omaha defeated Colorado Springs 16-11. If Melky Cabrera is injured, traded, or starts to wilt after his quick start, look for Cain to be moving on up quickly to Kansas City to join fellow former Brewers in Alcides Escobar and Jeremy Jeffress on the Royals team.
