Kansas State Assistant Basketball Coach Dalonte Hill Takes Job At Maryland

Hill was reportedly the highest paid assistant coach in the country at Kansas State but has taken the job as newly-hired Mark Turgeon’s assistant. Turgeon was most recently at Texas A&M but spent seven years as the head coach at Wichita State.

Hill was instrumental in bringing in recruits Michael Beasley, Rodney McGruder and Wally Judge to Manhattan.

This is a big blow to the K-State basketball program and just another reason to wonder what is going on with Frank Martin’s team. It was also reported that Gary Williams assistants last year at Maryland made a total of $231,000. That could mean that Hill took a pretty big paycut to leave Manhattan.
