Mules Take On Winona State In First Game At Division II World Series

Central Missouri (49-8) takes on Winona State (39-17) Saturday at 1pm ET in Cary, North Carolina at the USA Baseball Training Facility in the first round of the Division II World Series.

The Mules advanced to the championship tournament by winning the South Central regional in San Antonio, Texas last weekend. The Mules were led by tournament MVP Matt Curtis, who threw a 4-hit complete game shut-out against Incarnate Word in the Championship game to move Curtis to 11-0 on the season. The other Mules joining Curtis on the all-tournament team were Albert Selanders, Nick DeBiasse, Bret Schwartz, Don Lisi, Travis Unthank and Jon Wegener.

If the Mules win on Saturday they will play the winner of the Millersville (43-10) vs Mount Olive (45-8) game on Monday at 5pm ET. It is a double-elimination tournament so the losers of the these two games will play at 1pm ET on Monday.
