Livestrong Sporting Park Set To Host United States National Team in Gold Cup Action

For the second time in a week, many eyes from across the country will be fixed upon Livestrong Sporting Park in Kansas City on Tuesday evening where the USMNT will be hosting Guadeloupe in the third match of 2011 CONCACAF Group C Action.

The Stars and Stripes should be hungry in front of the fans in Kansas City as the Americans fell 2-1 to Panama on Saturday evening in Tampa. With the loss, United States manager Bob Bradley has again been placed on the hot seat, as the Americans suffered their first ever loss in the opening round of Gold Cup play.

What really seems to be hurting the team at the moment are the late starts which has recently become the standard for the USMNT. More often than not it seems like the Americans don't settle down and get comfortable until after they have fallen behind in a match. That was a trait during last summer's World Cup, and it still continues to be a burden.

If the United States comes out focused, there is no reason they shouldn't take three points in Kansas City, but as we saw against Panama, anything can happen. Bradley will be mixing up his lineup tonight, as Chris Wondolowski, who has been impressive in this tournament, will be starting for the United States for the first time.

Of interest to the local fans of Sporting Kansas City, the Guadeloupe team features Sporting midfielder Stephane Auvray.
