Kansas City Chiefs: Week 1 – Kicking the field goal

You made the right choice my friend. Succop nails the 47-yard field goal and you find the Chiefs up 23-10 mid-way through the 3rd quarter. Feeling a little pressure by needing more than just a touchdown and a field goal to tie the game, Buffalo gets pass-happy and two 4th quarter interceptions by Eric Berry seal the game for the Chiefs as they go on to win 30-13.

Eric Berry is easily the player of the game as he finished with 13 tackles, with two for loss, 2 sacks and 2 interceptions. Matt Cassel finished the game 17-29 with 205 yards and 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Steve Johnson after the game tweeted, "Berry is the best safety in the game". Or something to that affect, you never know what they’re saying sometimes. This immediately led ESPN to divide between the side that agree with Johnson, and the side that discredits the young receiver for not having been around long enough to know that kind of thing. Chiefs fans know the truth.

Close this window and return to Arrowhead Pride for game two against the Detriot Lions.
