While the men's side is a bit more focused on who the presumed winner will be, the odds for the eventual women's singles final champion at The Champions at Wimbledon in 2011 are a bit more open -- admitting that there's not as dominant of a player in the fold as someone like Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer. Instead, it's Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams who share the honors of being the favorites among a very talented and fairly open field.
Williams won the crown last year over Vera Zvonareva -- a bit of a longshot at 16/1 -- in straight sets and dominated her way through without losing a single set. Even though she's been strong as of late with her recent win at last month's Italian Open, Sharapova is an interesting favorite given that she hasn't won a major since 2008's Australian Open. As for any Wimbledon success, Sharapova hasn't won at All England since 2004. It's a bit of a stretch to think she's tied for overall favorite.
