Army Sends Football Player To Active Duty For Role In Incident With Patti LaBelle's Bodyguards

West Point Cadet Richard King, a senior starting cornerback for the Army football team has been dismissed from the team this season and sent to active service.

The bizarre story started on March 11 at Bush International Airport in Houston, where King happened to get a little too close to singer Patti LaBelle’s luggage, that prompted her bodyguards to step in in which they worked over King pretty solidly. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, the whole incident can be viewed online.

Because of the injuries suffered by King, he likely will never play football again, and instead of running stadium stairs, like at most universities, King now will be going to active duty. Such is life for a West Point Cadet.
