Northwest Missouri State Head Football Coach Scott Bostwick Dies Of Heart Attack

Northwest Missouri State University Head Football Coach Scott Bostwick died this morning in Maryville from an apparent heart attack. Bostwick, previously the defensive coordinator at Northwest since 1994, had been named Head Coach on December 31st after long time Head Coach Mel Tjeerdsma announced his retirement.

During his time at Northwest, the Bearcats played in seven Division II National Championships, winning three of of those. In 2007 he was the AFCA Assistant Coach of the Year.

Bostwick, who was 49, is survived by his wife Sue, and children Leah and Eric.
