The United States has came out a lot more aggressive on the pitch this evening, with the Americans continually pushing the ball upfield. It was pertenant to get off on a good start, and the Americans have done so as Jozy Altidore's goal in the 15th minute as given the United States an early 1-0 lead. The goal for Altidore was his 11th goal in international competition.
Michael Bradley has looked good early on, being the main man in charge of the attack and it's good to see him respond after not having much playing time this spring at Aston Villa.
The turf in Detroit is rather slow and the players have had to adjust to making sure passes are crisp and not waiting for the ball to reach them.
