As Missouri head coach Frank Haith tries to imprint his stamp on the Tigers basketball program, they received word today of a decision to transfer to Missouri from Louisville's George Goode. The 6'8" forward from Raytown (South HS) will be a senior at Mizzou and able to play immediately as he will be taking graduate courses in Columbia.
Goode has been considering Kansas State and Morehead State in addition to the Tigers, and brings with him a career average of 1.9 points per game along with 1.4 rebounds per game in 60 appearances with the Cardinals. Last season he averaged 8 minutes per game, and had a career-best eight points in a December 4th victory over South Alabama.
The news comes on the heels of Missouri finding out earlier in the afternoon that 6'6" guard Ricky Kreklow, who just finished his freshman season, will be leaving Columbia and transferring. Kreklow, a Columbia native, averaged 2.1 points and 9.8 minutes per game this past season while appearing in 32 games.
