Week 12 - Sticking with Cassel

You decide to stick with Matt Cassel. The faith you show in Matt Cassel is rewarded on this Sunday Night in Kansas City. It helps that the Chiefs have a All-Pro safety in Eric Berry that shows the whole world what he is all about on this night.

Cassel brings the Chiefs back on impressive back-to-back drives in the second quarter that tie the game at 10-10 heading into halftime. It was a beautiful 56-yard touchdown pass to Dexter McCluster on a wheel-route that brought the Chiefs to within a field goal early in the second quarter.

On Pittsburgh’s next possession, Eric Berry walloped Hines Ward so hard on a crossing route that one of the toughest WR’s in NFL history was slow to get up. The fumble recovery led to the Chiefs field goal that tied the game.

Early in the 4th quarter with the Chiefs leading 16-10, Berry again makes his presence felt as he picks off Big Ben and returns it 40 yards for a game-sealing touchdown.

Sticking with Cassel proved to be the right call as the Chiefs win a big one against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
