Not only are the local Kansas City Chiefs ranked in the top 27 overall sports franchises in overall value/worth, but the NFL is clearly the elite sporting league in which to own a franchise. The survey conducted by Forbes Magazine (of course) also ranks the St. Louis Rams at No. 40.
The Chiefs are valued at $965 million and the Kansas City Business Journal reports that the recent renovations made to Arrowhead Stadium provided the Chiefs with the higher ranking. The Rams come in at $779 million.
All NFL teams ranked in the Top 50 overall, but soccer has the lead overall with Manchester United valued at $1.86 billion.
