Leonard Pope, who made headlines earlier this summer when he helped save a boy from drowning, has a passion for helping others.
His latest involvement will be with the Fuller Center, the group that founded the more known Habitat For Humanity.
Beginning June 10th, 25 bike riders departed Seattle as part of the Fuller Center Bike Adventure, a cross-country ride that will finish in Washington D.C.
This weekend the group will reach Kansas City where they will help build and repair homes for those less fortunate in addition to spreading their message. Among those assisting will be Pope, who himself has a long history with the Fuller family.
Hats off to Pope for giving back to the community and showing character that certainly makes Scott Pioli, Todd Haley, and Chiefs fans everywhere proud of their tight end.
