After 11 weeks off, Tiger Woods will be making his return to the links next week for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
↵It has been a rough summer for the 35-year old Woods who has dealt with an injured left leg that caused him to miss both The U.S. Open as well as The British Open.
↵In addition to dealing with injuries, Woods also recently relieved long time caddy Steve Williams of his duties. Williams had been carrying Woods’ bag since 1999.
↵Woods, who hasn’t won a PGA Tour event since the 2009 BMW Championship, has 16 World Golf Championship victories in his career and won the Bridgestone event previously in 2006, 2007, and 2009.
