Tiger Woods To Make Golf Return At Bridgestone Invitational

After 11 weeks off, Tiger Woods will be making his return to the links next week for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

It has been a rough summer for the 35-year old Woods who has dealt with an injured left leg that caused him to miss both The U.S. Open as well as The British Open.

In addition to dealing with injuries, Woods also recently relieved long time caddy Steve Williams of his duties. Williams had been carrying Woods’ bag since 1999.

Woods, who hasn’t won a PGA Tour event since the 2009 BMW Championship, has 16 World Golf Championship victories in his career and won the Bridgestone event previously in 2006, 2007, and 2009.
