Kansas City Chiefs Vote To Recertify As Union

The Washington Post is reporting the first steps in what will inevitably happen in every locker room or clubhouse around the NFL early in training camps as they open and players come together. One of the key stipulations of the new labor deal was that the players needed to recertify their union and it seems the Chiefs are helping to lead that charge.

Matt Cassel spoke with Associated Press reporters saying, ""I know a lot of the deal was based on the fact that we had to recertify We know as of Aug. 4 this labor lockout would continue. We voted unanimously to end it and recertify."

It’s the final end of business that we were all waiting for, and the amount of attention over the return of the NFL shows just how thirsty fans were for the lockout to be settled.
