In what is possibly the most bizarre sports related incident of the week, Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Roy Williams has sued his former girlfriend Brooke Daniels over a marriage proposal to went amiss.
It appears Williams proposed to Daniels through the mail, sending a $76,000 engagement ring, $5,000 for various bills, along with other items in a package to Daniels, which also included a tape marriage proposal.
To be honest, I’m not sure which seems more odd, mailing a $76,000 ring in the mail or proposing to someone via videotape. Both seem unorthodox to say the least.
Daniels did not return the ring to Williams when Daniels declined to marry the former University of Texas wideout. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
I think it also means that the sports media and all football fans are just ready for the NFL lockout to end.
