Royals Release Kyle Davies To Make Room For Salvador Perez

Things certainly continue to get interesting in regards to the Royals roster as the team has announced that pitcher Kyle Davies has been released (courtesy of Bob Dutton).

Dutton continued the conversation with an article in the Kansas City Star talking about the decision to release Davies.

Davies, 27, has struggled with the Royals since he was acquired in July of 2007 in a deadline deal that sent Octavio Dotel to the Braves. His career numbers with Kansas City included a 29-44 record in 99 starts. Davies sported a 5.34 ERA over that time including a 1-9 record with a 6.75 ERA in 13 starts this season.
