With former Chiefs defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham serving in the same capacity with the Detroit Lions, the Lions are often linked to former Chiefs defensive players as they become available — just like Maurice Leggett signed previously with Detroit earlier this off-season. Now an offensive player joins the ranks as former Chiefs starting center Rudy Niswanger has found a home along the Lions front line.
Currently they have Domonic Raiola at the starting position, but apparently they weren’t satisfied with the level of competition in camp behind him. Dylan Gandy and Dan Gerberry are also listed on the team’s roster, but camp will likely get rid of at least one name — perhaps Niswanger.
