↵With two home runs on Monday evening, Minnesota Twins designated hitter Jim Thome became the eighth member of the 600 home run club, with a seventh inning three-run home run to left field off Tigers reliever Daniel Schlereth.
↵Thome, 40, has played for five clubs during a 21-year major league league career that included a career high 52 home runs in 2002 as a member of the Cleveland Indians. Thome has hit at least 20 home runs or more 16 times during his illustrious career.
