Kansan Gary Woodland Ties For 13th In Hurricane-Shortened Barclays

Former Kansas University golfer Gary Woodland played his best round in The Barclays under trying weather conditions on Saturday as Hurricane Irene closed in on New Jersey and New York City.

Woodland, who lives in Topeka, Kan., shot a six-under-par 65 and finished with a 54-hole score of 12-under 201 in the hurricane-shortened tournament at Plainfield Country Club in Edison, NJ. The Barclays is the first of four tournaments that make up the FedEx Cup PGA Playoffs.

Dustin Johnson was the tournament winner with a 54-hole score of 19-under 194, two strokes better than Matt Kuchar. Brandon Snedeker had this best score over the final 18 holes, a ten-under 61, with 53 golfers scoring in in the 60s.
