Missouri Football Recruiting 2012: Kansas City Area Prep Ondre Pipkins Commits To Michigan

It appears Missouri has lost out on a home state recruit as Park Hill's Ondre Pipkins committed today to play football starting in 2012 at the University of Michigan. Pipkins is a 6'3" 325 defensive tackle that is currently a four-star player according to Rivals.com

Pipkins is ranked the fourth best senior in the state of Missouri heading into the 2011 high school football season and also ranks as the 246th best player nationally.

While it is a blow not to be able to lock down a top in-state player, the Missouri staff has done a great job thus far in recruiting on adding new depth on both the offense and defensive line. Currently the Tigers have commitments from three offensive lineman in addition to three defensive lineman.

Besides having offers from all three local Big 12 schools, Pipkins also held scholarship offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and many others.
