It appears that Denver Broncos head coach John Fox is listening to the fans clamoring for Tim Tebow to make an appearance on the field. Apparently he didn’t get the memo they wanted him under center to replace Kyle Orton as the starting quarterback. In the second quarter of today’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Tebow has been put in as a wide receiver.
Of course, there’s no expectations that it’s a permanent move at all, but it’s a rare display of offensive invention from a coach who’s rather old school in his approach — at least with the Carolina Panther teams predicated on the running game and solid defense. Tebow’s athleticism presents some interesting opportunities, so we’ll see how this plays out.
