Eagles QB Michael Vick Injures Neck, Leaves Game Against Falcons

After getting hit in the head and battered for most of the game, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was forced to leave the game with a reported neck injury after coming to the sidelines and spitting up blood. There’s no official word yet on any timetable for a return tonight, but he left with the Eagles up by 10 over the Falcons in the third quarter.

Given the trade of Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals, that leaves the Eagles a bit thin at QB. Mike Kafka has come into the game as Vick’s replacement and the beauty of a team like the Eagles is that they have considerable depth and tremendous playmakers at the skill positions. Still the loss of Vick makes the game a lot closer heading into the final minutes.

The overall injury is something to keep an eye on, and we’ll keep you posted with any news.
